Monica Kimani was found brutally murdered last year when her brother visited her apartment along Dennis Pritt Road in the Kilimani area only to find her body in the bathtub with her head nearly decapitated.
As a result of the pursuant investigations, Jowie Irungu, Jaque Marie's former fiance is currently in remand as a guest of the state where he has been for a year awaiting the conclusion first of investigations and now for the case.
As can be expected, this is a trying time for the family as some of the sensitive information about to be cast into the light will be heard to live through as it freshens their loss and grief and the Kimani patriarch has broken his silence on the matter saying in a social media statement that he is praying for God to fight his battles for him and give him justice.
