Jowie was released on Thursday by a Milimani Law court.
Justice James Wakiaga said there is no compelling reason to deny the accused bail adding that the circumstances have already changed.
The witnesses under witness protection have already testified.
Irungu previously said he was going through a difficult time in remand at Kamiti Maximum Prison.
Jowie was charged with the murder of Monica Kimani, a businesswoman who was found deceased in the bathtub of her Kilimani apartment.
Jowie Irungu was a person of interest as was his then-fiancee Jacque Maribe who was dragged into the fray after rushing him to hospital with a gunshot wound.
