It's now a serious issue of concern that many of the comedians who have made us laugh over the years and helped us out of depression are sinking deep in it.
They have shared with us jokes with smiles in their faces but once they leave that stage, life is something else.
Churchill comedian Njoro is the most recent one to come out and reveal he has been suffering in silence as depression eats him up.
Zeddy made public the story of Njoro after visiting him in Nakuru, and it left many worried and willing to help him in any way possible.
Njoro's cry was for him to get a chance to seek counselling and land a job to help him cater to his ailing father and all the bills that come with it.
Fellow Churchill comedian MCA Tricky put out a comment saying he will commit to helping Njoro.
"Njoro my brother, change will be upon you, I will personally commit , honestly kuongea ni poa kuna vitu unasema hapa umezificha kwa hio smile for long! I had no idea, depression is real kila msee anaezajipata mbele hata yako! @zainabuzeddy hapa nakupa 10/10 , tutakusaidia bro" MCA Tricky said
Other comedians and fans sent out their prayers to Njoro encouraging him that things will be okay.
Since COVID-19 hit Kenya, a lot of businesses have suffered and the entertainment industry is among the sectors that were hit hard.
