Prominent University of Nairobi Sociology lecturer, Ken Ouko succumbed to Covid-19 and had been receiving treatment at the Aga Khan University Hospital.

He was a very celebrated man not only as a lecturer but also as an amazing friend to many. Especially those in the media, he was always available to give a professional perspective when called upon to.

And this is one of the things Carol Radull will forever remember him for. Taking to social media, she penned down an emotional message to the late saying,

"Today has been a strange day. Lot's of excitement over my show today and of course the football. But as I take a pause I want to remember this special man; a friend; and any News Editor in this town will tell you; the go-to guy when you needed politics broken down. I probably interviewed Ken at least once a month over the 8 year period when I was the breakfast news presenter on Kiss 100. We were friends. We hung out sometimes as Ken was one of the most interesting people I had ever met. And he had class. Sadly we had not spoken in years because as humans; we always think we have time. I want to pay tribute to Dr Ken Ouko. His students loved him; the media could rely on him and oh what a gentleman he was."

Radull then urged her followers to not only take care of themselves but also to check up on each other.

Guys #covid19 is real. Take care of yourselves. And check up on dear friends who you may not have seen in a while. Today I mourn an amazing human. Rest in peace my friend. Rest in peace Ken. 💔
