Ciru Muriuki does not share much of her personal life until she is sure she has it under control.
We saw this when she announced that she had been suffering from endometriosis.
Today, responding to a tweet on whether the trauma of death has an expiry date, Ciru announced that she lost her father three weeks ago. Something that she has kept off social media.

"I lost my dad three weeks ago. I wonder if I'll feel this agony forever."
Going through her social media posts, she mourned the death of a beloved and cherished father.
"I will love you forever Dad. The rest of my life will be spent longing to see you again, my most honored, most beloved, most cherished father." Ciru took to Instagram
She also announced on Facebook the pain of losing a best friend saying life never prepared her for this loss.
“What life can never prepare you for...is to lose a beloved parent. My most honored, most cherished father has rested. I have grappled with the unimaginable pain of losing my anchor, my best friend, the best man I have ever known. Words are not enough to express the immensity of this loss. But in all things, we praise the name of the Lord. Dad, I will love you forever. The rest of my life will be spent longing to see you again,” Ciru Muriuki took to FaceBook

Sharing this was not easy for Ciru but she got so much support from her friends, colleagues and fans.
