The love story between the late Tecra Muigai and Omari Lali still baffles many.
Terca, Anerlisa's sister died after a fall from the staircase of the house she lived in with Omar.
Speaking for the first time in an interview with KTN, The Lead, Omar says on that fateful night the two were drinking.
He said he had taken pain meds for a toothache and so he was not supposed to drink but Tecra convinced him to join her and he complied.
"I blacked out and then suddenly had someone fall only to run and find her on the floor. She had fainted."
Her death was a concern and so investigations started. Omar was the main suspect and was taken in for a month but later on, released.

So how did the two meet? How did their love story grow?
Speaking on The Lead he said,
"My children had come from England and they had not been in Kenya for many years. We went to Peponi Hotel and Tecra had also arrived there on the same day. She had sat next to my friend I did not know her and neither did she know me so I went on with my business.
At 7 pm I was called and told she was keen to know me so I went back there at around 9:30 pm and we sat, talked and she asked a lot of questions. She looked at me in the eye and told me she fully trusts me.
After a long night of talking and getting to know each other, I took her to her room at around 2 am. She then told me not to leave she is scared and that I should stay with her. I stayed but I made it clear I like sleeping at home so that when I wake up, my four-year-old child is there with me.
She assured me when we wake up, we will go to my house together so I shouldn't worry. "

This is where it all started for the two. In as much their relationship was not easy, Omar says she was an amazing person in her own way. He managed to change a lot in her life but failed to help her quit day drinking.
In the interview, Omar also mentioned that it took Tecra's family a lot to finally accept that she was in love. This was after she gave them all the money and ATM cards to go be with the love of her life.
