On Tuesday, DP William Ruto was busy distributing items including wheelbarrows, to youths and women.
While showing his generous side, the second in command said, “Every hustle matters, creating and expanding each opportunity is a chance to make many dreams come true.”
This wowed and irked others in equal measure.
Among those who were not amazed by that is Kamene Goro who sees is as a cheap way of buying the youth vote ahead of 2022 election.
Kamene has urged Kenyan youths to demand better and not settle for the cheap tricks that will land the nation in more mess.
"I am not deeming the DP's generosity or the importance of the wheelbarrows, the problem is the youth in Kenya are going to decide who will run the country after all this mess." Kamene said.
Off all the things we need as youths we are settling for wheelbarrows?
If that is what you want to do for the rest of the your life then chukueni hizo mkokoteni and wheelbarrows. We cannot be bought like this!"
Jalas disagreed with Kamene reminding her that he took her to Eastlands to change her perspective about things out there.
"The narrative that DP ruto wants to put across is that you can start from somewhere and become something. He started off as a roadside chicken seller and he is the DP, kuna watu wanapaka rangi and they can be great," Jalas argued.
The youth vote is very critical kuna watu wa salon, sugarcane juice making machines were also at the DP's residence to inspire the youths." He added.
Guys who are you siding with today? Kamene or Jalas?
