Diamond Platnumz is the literal definition of started from the bottom now we here.

Speaking to Grammy.com, Diamond said his family never expected he would get to where he is now.

“Penetrating the market and the game was very hard. I was coming up with ways I could get signed. My mum gave me a gold ring, and I had to sell that to get into the studio to pay for the first session.”

His first song wasn’t that good, but it led him to his first manager, who paid for his first album. He had his breakthrough with ‘number one’ in 2009.

“I’d work with different artistes, but Usher would be a dream come true to me,” Diamond told Grammy

He is now doing major collabos with big names, the likes of Alicia Keys and soon to be Rema. He said he was so nervous but very grateful about his collabo with the songbird.

The past couple of days have been on a high for the WCB artiste. He is now holding events courtesy of the elections coming up in Tanzania. He has been filling campaign grounds and that makes him very happy.

We at Kiss 100 are proud of his journey and we are here to see more to that.
