Comedian Ben Maurice Onyango popularly also known as Othuol Othuol has passed on while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital on Sunday 11th October at 3 pm.
This is the second time he has been hospitalized in the same facility after he got tuberculosis, which later left him with a brain infection.
Othuol's colleagues have been saddened by the news including Kiss FM's Jalang'o. Speaking on the Morning Kiss, he shared his tribute saying,
"The last time he was going to the hospital, Othuol could not even talk he could not even eat, you get. So that is where the problem came in because he was weak but he had been very very sick. For a period of more than two years until yesterday, the curtain fell on him. He threw in the towel after going in and out of the hospital. May his soul rest in peace
To the whole comedy community family who knew he was very very sick and we have seen your support throughout which was immense. He was very happy even at the last minute as we were collecting and paying bills for the hospital for him to get well."
Adding that,
'You can never cure death we are all heading there he has just aligned off the bus. So to every person, blogs writing all those things they don't know and kamati ya roho chafu don't do that. Let him rest in peace."
