Rapper, Khaligraph Jones lost out the much coveted BET Hip Hop “Best International Flow” award to Stormzy.
The awards ceremony was simulcasted on Tuesday night.
The UK rapper braved the storm from an array of strong competition from across the world to bag the award forcing the OG to wait for another time.
The father of two was going head to head with Brazil's 'Djonga', 'Kaaris' and 'Meryl' from France, Ms Banks from UK as well as Nasty C from South Africa.
Weeks before the ceremony, the 'Kwendaa' hit maker had expressed confidence that he would win the award saying that he had outworked everyone he had been nominated along with.
"The winner will be picked based on the amount of work they have been putting in, we are optimistic because honestly, I don’t see Anyone who has outworked me on the list 🤣🤣 but no matter the outcome, we are generally happy because East African Hip Hop is starting to get The Shine it deserves, Kenyan Hip Hop To the world 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The OG shall be respected," His post read.
We are happy that the OG was respected and we live to fight another day.
