Back in 2017, 16-year-old, Sarah Ikumu wowed the world with her raw talent after she appeared on Britain's got talent.

At her tender age, Sarah who is born to Kenyan parents won the hearts of the legendary judges with her electric performance of the rendition of And I am Telling You by Jennifer Hudson.

This year, we have a new star in Eugene Asira, a German-based Kenyan who is making waves in this year's 'The Voice of Germany.'

Mr. Eugene impressed all the coaches during his blind auditions while performing 'Uliza Kiatu' by our very own band, Hart the Band.

Eugene eventually made it to the show and his live performance was aired on Wednesday night.

Talk of Kenyans making waves in Europe! Hart the band must be very proud.

How The Voice works

Those aspiring to join the show have to do blind auditions where the coaches judge them based on their voice and not looks.

When a coach is impressed, he/she pushes a button and their rotating chair turns around and the coach gets to face the artist he/she has selected.

This is the interesting part; The artist now based on the number of coaches who have picked them, chooses which coach he/she wants to work with.

All we can do is celebrate Eugene and wish him all the best in this entertaining journey.
