Jacque Maribe had so much to reveal that left many of us in shock.
Her interview with Carole Mandi had some deep insights. From her break up with Jowie to her relationship with Eric Omondi to having suffered miscarriages.
This time, she gave us some gist on her girl squad. Okay, not so much squad anymore.
All her girls and the 'friendship' they had built was a house of cards that came tumbling down when she was arrested for the murder of businesswoman Monicah Kimani alongside her fiancé then, Jowie.

Jacque and her squad included famous names, the likes of Kirigo Ngarua, Shix Kapienga, Terryanne Chebet and Monica Kiragu. They used to have so much fun with the trips and the nights out. We wished we had all that.
But things were not as they seemed on social media.
Turns out that once Jacque was incarcerated back in September 2018, the girl squad disintegrated.
“A lot of my ‘friends’(Jacque said using air quotes) did not want to associate with me, people who I really thought I was very close to. some, I heard did public statements. I did not see them, disassociating themselves from me. these are people who we have been seen going on holiday with, you know, being told we are squad goals. I will be very honest with you. I have like two female friends, to date, who stood by me from the beginning. the rest of my friends are guys, but now you come to learn who your true circle is. I don’t want to say I lost many friends because they were not friends, I just gained true ones.”

I know this is a major shock because even when the case on the death of Monica Kimani was in court, we saw a few of her girl squad come to support her. But just the first days.
But as they say, we live we learn we grow.
