Selena Gomez has been known to speak her truths when things are not going right.

It doesn't have to affect her directly but as long as it is not the right thing.

She issued a statement on social media after supporters of President Donald Trump violently stormed the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. to protest his election loss to President-elect Joe Biden yesterday.

"Today is the result of allowing people with hate in their hearts to use platforms that should be used to bring people together and allow people to build community. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google, Mark Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg, Jack Dorsey, Sundar Pichai, Susan Wojcicki - you have all failed the American people today and I hope you’re going to fix things moving forward." Selena tweeted

Twitter suspended Trump's account Wednesday after a series of tweets that did little to quell the ongoing violence.

Selena is the third most followed on Instagram so this concerns are worth an ear. Social media should be a place of positive votes only. And that is what she wants.
