One more season and Insecure is over. I know it hurts, I mean we love the reality in that show. You can always relate.
Announcing on social media, co-creator, co-writer, and star of the HBO television series, Issa Rae said that season five will be the last season.
"Very excited to film our fifth and final season! We couldn’t have told a complete story without the tremendous support of our audience and the faith of @HBO. See y'all soon! #InsecureHBO" She tweeted
Speaking to Deadline she said the plan has always been five seasons.
"Prentice and I are so grateful that HBO believed in our show from the beginning and kept faith in us to see our vision through the end. We always planned to tell this story through five seasons, but we couldn’t have made it this far without the tremendous support of our audience. I feel blessed beyond measure to bring our characters’ stories to an end, on-screen at least."
Programming Executive Vice President Amy Gravitt said the season has been written and so shooting should start this month.
We can't wait to see what Issa Rae, Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis, Natasha Rothwell, Amanda Seales, and Alexander Hodge have in store for us.
