Mejja is celebrated for his role in uplifting up coming artists and is probably the only Kenyan artist who doesn't charge for a feature.

The Genge rapper, made a shocking revelation on Friday when he said that one gospel artist actually charged him a total of Sh300,000 for a feature.

He never revealed who it was but gave a hint that it was one of the artists who used to sing with Daddy Owen back in the days.

Mejja says, it hurt me given that he was his friend and he made a vow to never charge anyone for a feature and also made it his mission to uplift upcoming artists with no resources.

"I remember when the gospel industry was flying high and I wanted to do a gospel song to praise God. When I approached this artists, he asked for Sh150,000 as commitment fee and Sh150,000 more for the song." Said Mejja.

He added,

It is not Bahati since we have done 'Wanani'  together but the only hint is; It is one of the guys who used to sing with Daddy Owen.

I was shocked because I thought he was my friend and I vowed that if God uplifts me then I will make it my mission to uplift others.

In the Friday morning interview, Mejja revealed that he is single and alone.

"I am currently single but a father of two kids." Said Mtoto wa Khadija.

Asked what is his ideal type he said;
