Eric Omondi got on the wrong side of the law according to KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua, and last we checked, manz was arrested.

On Wednesday night Eric Omondiโ€™s two contestants from Wife Material season two were arrested for causing a disturbance, jailed overnight  then were released the next day.

According to a press statement put out by the Kenya Film Classification Board, DCI arrested Eric Omondi for violating the provisions of the films and stage plays act cap 222 of the laws of Kenya by producing and distributing unauthorized films dubbed 'Wife Material'.

He was released yesterday after paying Sh50,000 bond.

 

After his release, Eric Omondi took to social media with a statement cancelling Wife Material season 2.

"To all the AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL and GORGEOUS (EAST AFRICAN) ladies who participated in #WifeMaterial2 THAAANK YOU๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ You are ANGELIC.๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฌ You can be sure Season three will be BIGGER, BETTER, CLEANER๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š and will be the BIGGEST THING AFRICA HAS EVER SEEN."

This statement came after an apology he wrote to Dr. Ezekiel Mutua referring to him as his good friend.

"I have had a very long phone call with my very good friend Daktari Ezekiel Mutua and he is of the very strong opinion that #WifeMaterial does not have to be dirty to sell. I completely agree with him and I have sent him a personal apology. The intention has always been to entertain and not to offend and I'd like to apologize to anyone who was offended๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™The whole idea behind #WifeMaterial is to bring East Africa and Africa together through Entertainment...The Vision is to take over Africa and the Dream is to lift the East African and Kenyan flags to the World and that requires a rigorous and vigorous creative process.

Sherlyne Anyango who was among the contestants who participated in the show posted a video of her with her other contestant saying she will miss those ladies and the life they lived under Eric Omondi.
