There have been reports that health CS, Mutahi Kagwe is set to address the nation today on behalf of President Kenyatta, who is out of the country.
Kagwe is set to address the nation at 11:00 am, concerning Covid-19 containment measures update.
Among issues he is expected to address are; The sharp increase of Covid-19 cases, curfew hours as well as whether we will be expecting an implementation of another lockdown.
This morning, Kamene and Jalas pleaded with the CS not to enforce another lockdown and instead urged the government to vaccinate its people instead.
"This thing is so planned and towards the end of the 60 day lapse numbers start to rise but till when?" Asked Jalang'o.
It is time you vaccinated people, just have a complete vaccination roll out program. Look at UK people have already gone back to their lives and are not wearing masks. In Kenya only 2% of Kenyans have been vaccinated.
Kamene who has ventured into events planning cited the potential loss of jobs and business opportunities, should the government enforce another lockdown.
With a number of big events expected to go down in the next couple of weeks, Kamene says it is high time the government invest more in jabs to avoid such negative impact.
"Can you think of the number of events that will go down, the number of people we are employing? Kuna Luo brunch, This is Africa, Omah Lay, Aden kule Gold," said Kamene.
