Exactly a week ago, Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefele popularly known as Blaqbonez released a spanking new video to his jam 'Fendi.'
In 'Fendi,' the Chocolate City signed star features emPawa superstar Joe Boy. ‘Fendi' is off his album latest album Sex Over Love.
A week later, the 25-year-old high flying rapper was in our studios for the Kiss FM unplugged where he brought nothing but great vibes.
Below are excerpts from his one on one interview with Kamene and Jalas.
What really brought him to Kenya?
I just want to promote my music and make it known I want to amplify my music and connect with people because when you meet them physically they recognize your existence.
Has he and Khaligraph sort out their differences?
It wasn't a beef it was more of a rap battle. I am planning on working with him because I have a song that I think it is good for him.
I never cared for the best hip-hop act award. I am a PR guy who was thinking about things that would work in my favor.
Why does he think Kenyan music is less played in Nigeria?
I am trying to go everywhere and make sure my music is known. Next month I am going to the UK and Ghana. I feel like many Kenyan artists don't come to Nigeria.
What stands out for me from the rest is that I have personality and a lot of people just make music and it doesn't show their personality. I try and infuse character in my music. I am the only artist in Nigeria with a nose ring. I try to be myself.
We need to make sure Davido and Burna Boy get some septum piercing.
What is his relationship status?
I am single and my album 'sex over love' shows I'd rather choose that over that.
I am single and my type is; I have too many types to feel like I have a type. Today I am feeling thick..
