Gospel singer, Daddy Owen is mourning the death of a close friend who succumbed to Covid-19.
Owen says receiving and accepting the heartbreaking news this morning, has been 'one of the hardest things I have faced this year.'
Sharing the sad news, Owen who had recently contracted and fully recovered from the virus, says he and his friend might have contracted the virus at the same time and place.
He wrote;
Last week I shared my experience with covid and how I recovered, I can only thank GOD unfortunately yesterday I lost one of my friend who dint make it.. the hardest part is that we might have contacted the virus at the same time and the same place. Receiving and accepting the news today morning was one of the hardest things I have faced ths year. Praying for the family will share more information plus photos only when the family shares first and if I get permission.
Speaking to Mpasho.co.ke on his battle with Covid-19, Owen revealed he had lost 3kgs and had a rough time self isolating given that he was all alone.
'The worst thing is mental.. u need to keep your Spirit and thoughts high.. avoid stress completely,'' Said Owen.
''Take things to boost your immunity.. my situation was hard because I lost appetite and I couldn't eat well so I lost 3kgs in less than 2 weeks.''
Sharing his story on his IG, Owen wrote;
One thing I decided during this time is to not stress my mind and body, try to eat well (this is a myth during this time wah..) and just keep my focus on GOD for healing.
Few days after I started my self Isolation I remember calling my mum telling her how hard it is for me just to sit and wait for the 14 days to be over without going to work and she replied and told me "count yourself blessed, others are in hospital right now and they don't know if they'll make it".
Glory and honour TO JESUS CHRIST for my healing. Finally am fine.. well.. going back to work.''
