Rapper, Singer & Songwriter Maandy just released her second single ‘ Hivi na hivo' off her sophomore album ‘Frisky T'.
The song sees Maandy in rare form combining braggadocios rhymes, incomparable confidence and an undeniably banging beat.
Hailing from Dagoretti South in Nairobi, and standing twice as tall through her confidence and attitude is Maandy aka 'Kabaya'
Breaking into the scene in 2016 through Chuo Records, Maandy has gone on to release fan favorites such as Pon It, Shash na Lipgloss, and Sirudi Home.
Her sharp lyricism and bad girl attitude has set Maandy apart and her first album Kabaya remained the number one album on BoomPlay Music for a month. Maandy is definitely one of the outliers in the Kenyan music scene and has been named one of the top 10 female rappers. Maandy has made a name for herself through working with notable producers such as Jacky B, Mavo, Pari, DJ Mura and Wes.
Her collaborations with industry heavyweights such as Breeder LW, Fena Gituand Exray from Boondocks Gang are electric and solidified her position as a rising star. Now, Maandy has been in the studio working on her eagerly awaited second album featuring collaborations with Ndovu Kuu, Breeder LW and Fena among others. The release is slated for October2021.
