Should the world find a way of scrapping off this year's Christmas period I bet you my left kidney, Kenyans especially those who attended Sauti Sol's SolFest concert won't give a mhh abourit. Christmas came early for them!

If there is a group of men who have discovered a way into Kenyan's psych and hearts, it has to be Sauti Sol. They have cemented their position as African's sons of music chemistry.

If they are not luring you to love their worldview on romance and life, they are convincing you with their melody that they are the real deal. And indeed they are the real deal after they took the stage on December 12, 2021, in a sold-out concert dubbed Sol Fest.

They are the first-ever Kenyan band to host a sold-out concert with no headlining international artiste.

The packed concert at the Carnivore saw other Sol Generation stars wow the audience like Bensol and Nviiri the Storyteller.

Nviiri performed with an all-female band. What a statement!

Other acts that graced the event include Only Rosa, Maandy, Femi One and Wakadinali.

Later on in the evening, Saut Sol was expected to take the stage at midnight. But they were delayed. The audience chanted their name. 20 minutes later they were still not on stage.

The MC tried to calm the impatient revellers down saying they have a small technical hitch. The audience did not want to hear any of it.

Their fans got impatient, and they booed. Loudly and for a long time.

At 12:28, obliging them  Sauti Sol took the stage belting out the enchanting Midnight Train song. The audience was transported to tranquil Zion and the booing was replaced with loud cheers.

The rest of their set did not disappoint. All four of the Sauti Sol members even showcased their solo projects.

Sauti Sol has proven that Kenyan acts have what it takes to pull crowds, keep them captive and wanting more.

The event was sponsored by Radio Africa, Odi Bets and Jameson.
