New Kenyan music sensation Trio Mio turned out to be the only award winning artist who turned up for the Unkut Afrika HipHop Awards meet -and-greet party which was held at the Emara Ole Sereni Hotel on Friday evening.
Despite the award winning artists getting invites for the party many failed to turn up except for Octopizzo's brother, Jimmy Truth who scooped the fashion label of the year award for his clothing brand ''Seesaw'.
Most of the artists who scooped awards at the event which was held at the Sarit Centre Expo last December from Scar Mkadinali, Silverstone Braz, Boutros, Nazizi, Juliani , Breeder LW, Swahili Papi, Vince on the Beat among others failed to turn up for the party despite getting invites.
A few veterans showed up but later left. They include; Mwafreeka famous for his underground hip hop show and tracks back in the mid 2000s, Dj Zaq and Moha Grafix.
The awards were founded by media personality Ruby V.
