Friends, family members and celebrities turned up for Akuku Danger's fundraising ceremony on Thursday evening.

The fundraising ceremony was to raise money for the comedian's medical bill after he was discharged from hospital.

The event which took place at Kenya National Theatre was attended by celebrities like; of Sandra Dacha, Butita among others.

Over Ksh 100,000 was raised last night.

Recently, actress Sandra Dacha shared that Akuku Danger had fully recovered but could not be discharged due to pending bills.

Sandra said; "We can now walk and dance Hallelujah. @itsakukudanger has officially been discharged today, Monday 24th, BUT can't be released until we clear the pending hospital bill of 2M. We ask 10,000 wellwishers to donate 200 bob each. Paybill: 891300Account name-Akuku'"

On the Mchanga portal, friends and well wishers have raised Ksh 2m but the organisers announced, "We are hereby extending the limit to 2.5M as the bill continues to accumulate."
