Sometimes we hear stories about boring/ terrible evenings either from our friends or read them online and we wonder, "why did you go on that date?"

Or think to yourself, "how did you sit through all that? He's not even your type!"

It's true sometimes men make plans, above their limits sometimes in a bid to impress a lady, especially on the first date.

They want everything to go on smoothly and hope for a second one.

However, for most women, this isn't the case.

A study has revealed women go on dates for free meals.

They might not be interested in finding a partner at the moment but will actually agree to dress up and show up on a date just so as to try something new or order a meal they've been craving.

According to the research by three psychologists from the US one in every three ladies have gone on a date with a guy they were not interested in for the sheer prospect of a free meal.

There's also the aspect of getting bomb pictures in cute places to post all over social media.

According to the research, most make such moves when finances are tight or they want to try a new or expensive restaurant.
