When Deputy President, William Ruto was unveiled as the UDA party presidential flag bearer on Tuesday afternoon, one thing stood out - artists who performed at the Kasarani event.
X-ray performed his 'sipangwingwi' hit song which was now coined to praise William Ruto and so was Iyanii's 'Pombe' anthem song.
While discussing about the two artists, Kamene and Obinna advised any Kenyan artist that will find politicians looking for their services this campaign period.
They want them to stay woke and make sure they are paid top dollar in advance and in cash!
"Get your money in advance because when August comes you'll be crying 'Ooh I was not paid, I dressed like a fish because of this person," Obinna said.
Kamene added; Pandisha rate card take your payment in advance and take it in cash and have a contract that says you take in cash. These guys have been saving for the last few years. also campaign for someone you believe in, don't mislead me as a voter.
Obinna did not agree with Kamene's sentiments saying their sole focus should be securing the bag and not taking anything personally.
I hope artists who've been contracted to entertain Kenyans during rallies will heed the valuable advice before they come back here to cry wolf.
