Singer, Nyota Ndogo says ever since she shaved her hair and went bald, her mom was left concerned and even lectured her regarding her actions.
She says her mother has been stressed out because she interrupted her shaving to silently battling issues. According to the 'Watu na viatu' singer, her mother even canceled all her plans and was on her way from Mombasa to go see her.
Taking to her social media, Nyota wrote, Mimi nauliza kuna ubaya gani mtu kuamua kukata nywele zake? Mamaangu amenipigia simu kunigombeza why nakata nywele nikamuuliza kwani mum kunashida gani?hivi mama anaona mimi ninamatatizo amesema yupo njiani anakuja kutoka mombasa.anaona nipo na stress na mimi sina hata matatizo ya akili.(My mother has called me and lectured me because of cutting my hair...I asked her what is the problem with it? She thinks i have a mental problem and she is on her way here. She thinks i am stressed but i am not.)"
She added that the only problems she has are same as every other Kenyan and that's the high cost of living and that did not in any way contribute to her going bald.
When she shaved her hair a few days ago, Nyota said she had become tired of it.
"Nimechoka na nywele mailini nimekata zote mpaka za miguuni tena nimejikwangura na kijembe hii joto hapana." (I am tired of my hair, I have shaved all of it including leg hair. I cannot live with this warm climate.)
Her bald head elicited mixed reactions from her fans, who are used to seeing her natural hair. Not forgetting her eyebrows.

We are glad to learn that Nyota is fairing well and goodluck to her as she plans to explain to her mom that she needs not to worry about her.
