Comedian and previous Nacada vice chair, Vincent Mwasia popularly known by his stage name, Chipikeezy has finally addressed his alleged fallout with comedian Nick Chege alias Kartelo.
In a recent interview with Mungai Eve, the comedian revealed that he and Kartelo are actually still friends even though they do not talk much.
He joked that the two are practically still 'couple goals' but as men interaction has to be minimal.
"We don't talk because we are men, we are still couple goals, Kartelo is a young man that I am so proud of, so talented, has a bright feature, very creative, very smart, very wise," Chipukizeey said.
The two were such goals that in 2020 Chipukizeey handed over his show to his young protegee, Kartelo months after it had made its comeback after exiting Ebru Tv.
He wrote, "Its been a year of hosting @chipukeezyshow with bahu bari, and today he will be taking over the steering wheel tune in pale @tv47ke as @kartelo_official takes over @chipukeezyshow ."
Chipukizeey went on to add that their friendship was indeed intact. They like most adults (had a lot on their plates at the moment) and that is why they had not been seen together for a while.
"Kartelo is like a brother and everyone in my family loves him. We can never fall out. He is the one who gave me the idea of going to the USA. No matter what disagreements we might have, we are family.
We have not talked but I am looking for him. After seeing your interview with Kartelo I knew he was doing great," added Chipukeezy.
Following the fact that they do not post their interactions online, fans assumed that there were issues between the two.
However, Chipukizeey refuted the claims maintaining that their friendship was rock solid and Kartelo knew that Chipukizeey always has his best interests at heart.
"Kartelo is my friend. After the Chipukeezy show, there was so much that went on, I lost my grandfather, who is a person who has always been there for me and watched me grow.
My mom was in so much pain and so was I. Kartelo is among those who were with me through that time even though his wife was heavily pregnant and he is the only artist who came to my grandfather's burial," Chipukeezy revealed.
