On The Morning Kiss today, Obinna highlighted why the new WhatsApp feature is still useless.

The Meta company unveiled a new and improved version of their texting application, WhatsApp, where they added new features including exiting a group without its members getting a notification about it.

Do you know why that feature is still useless, even when you leave the WhatsApp, the admin will get notified and he will write on the group that you left or they will even screenshot the notification and send it to the group,” started Obinna.

The host added that WhatsApp should remove the feature where an admin gets notified as he bantered that the ‘leaving’ should be incognito and leave a blueprint.

However, Chito embraced the new feature adding that it should had been introduced before to make it easier for him to leave his family’s WhatsApp group.

I am like where was this feature when I was leaving my family’s WhatsApp group, mimi nilitoroka at 3 AM asubuhi then nikapata message at 7 AM from my family members on why I left and I had to explain to them why,” Chito said.

To add on, Obinna was telling Chito that he should leave unapologetically as he always does when the time comes to leave a group.

As a frequent WhatsApp user, One of WhatsApp’s most frustrating sides is alerting all users in a group when you decide to quit one.

This new feature is currently under development and will be coming to a future update of the app.

With the new feature, when a user leaves a group, only group admins will be notified of the exit. Other users will not be alerted.

The feature has currently been spotted in WhatsApp Desktop beta but is very likely to also come to WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS later on.

As with most features in testing, this one should also come to all devices with WhatsApp when a stable update rolls out, perhaps in a couple of months.
