It is award season for Kiss 100!
This is after Kamene and Obinna's 'The Morning Kiss' show was nominated for the Afrika Mashariki Transport awards.
Yes the duo were nominated because of the role they play every morning by providing information on what's happening on Kenyan roads.
A statement from Afrika Mashariki Transport awards reads, "This Award is open to radio stations that provide much needed precautionary information on the happenings on our roads including but not limited to road incidents, accidents, road maintenance, closures and other activities affecting road users,"
Adding, The show must be one that not only has a wide reach but also provides accurate, on-time, relevant and as much information as possible to the listeners/ road users.
The statement further adds that those looking to vote for the best station will be looking at the station that best delivers this information and be satisfied that these information helps them make the best decision that will get them to their destination safely and on time while using the road.
For Kiss 100 to emerge victorious it has to weather other shows from its sister stations; Maina and King'ang'i - Classic 105, Gidi & Ghost - Radio Jambo and Boyz Club - Homeboyz Radio.
Other nominees include Jambo Kenya, Morning fix, Takeover and Maisha Asubuhi.
The award gala will take place on July 15th to determine the big winners based on votes by the public.
