Ricky William Lightfoot is the man who gave the horse a good race. He completed the race in two hours, 22 minutes, and 23 seconds.
The horse that won was Lane House Boy, who was ridden by Kim Alman at two hours, 24 minutes, and 24 seconds.
"Horses have four legs. What is their excuse? Where will they hide their faces?” Cyd said.
The race consists of runners versus riders on horseback.
The 2022 race saw 1200 runners competing against 60 horses and riders.
The race has been held every year since 1980. In three occurrences only, has a human won that race.
2004 was the first time a human beat a horse, and the last win had been in 2007 and in 2022 June when Ricky William Lightfoot did his magic.
“Kipchoge got nothing on this brother, magic, Fast than horses!” Chito said.
Ricky is a British runner who has been a world champion in trail running and a medalist in the world; long-distance Mountain Running challenge.
Its inception came alive when a landlord overheard an argument between two men in his pub over whether a man could beat a horse over a significant distance.

“This guy must have run away from his family because there is no way you can have such a gift," Chito said jokingly.
The 22 miles (35km) Man versus Horse Marathon is held annually in the Welsh town of Llanwrtyd Wells. Such races also happen in other places, such as; Scotland at Dores near Loch Ness and North Island; New Zealand.
The previous runner to attain the mark achieved their win on a record of 2 hours, five minutes and 19 seconds in 2004 and 2007 at two hours, 20 minutes and 30 seconds.
