British author Joanne Rowling popularly known and referred to by her pen name JK Rowling just recently fell victim to a nasty prank call by Russian based prankster duo Vovan and Lexus.

The 56-year-old author was led to believe that she was actually talking to who she thought was Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, due to her immense support to Ukraine during their current conflict but it ended up being a huge prank.

According to the video the duo posted it kinda did seem to indicate, that the meeting was planned as a private talk and Rowling did not have a clue that she was being recorded.

The author was planning on talking with the president about her charity works in Ukraine but that did not get to happen.

The prankster, claiming to be Zelenskyy, asked J.K. Rowling if it was possible to impose any sanctions on Russian actor Aleksandr Kuznetsov, who played Helmut in the latest Fantastic Beasts movie, at which the author replies “Fantastic Beasts has been a very interesting experience. I’ll certainly talk to people and see what we can do.”

Later on, they explained to the author that Harry Potter’s scar looks like the “Z”, the symbol used by the Russian on their military vehicles, and ask her to change it to the Ukrainian trident.

Rowling took notes and said “I will look at that. It might be good for me to do something with that myself on social media, because I think that will get into the newspapers.”

In the video, the impersonator also informs the author that they've been writing "Avada Kedavra" on their missiles as a reference to the most deadly spell in her wizardly world books.

The spell, is often called the "killing curse."  And still unsuspecting, she commends them saying that it's a brilliant idea.

They also ask about Dumbledore's sexual preference, someone she's previously said was gay. "Zelensky" says they're hoping Dumbledore hasn't slept with a transgender clearly poking fun at Rowling's strong beliefs on transgender people.

The notorious prankster duo, Vladimir Kuznetsov and Aleksei Stolyarov are known for their prank telephone calls on celebrities and politicians alike.

They have pranked A-listers such as:  Elton John, Billie Elish, Kamala Harris, Prince Harry and former president of the United States of America, George W. Bush.
