Kamene Goro, as always, had a candid girl talk during the babebyKamene segment, where she spoke on the impact they will leave after all is said and done.
The extraordinaire radio presenter lost her grandfather last week, and they were saying their 'final' bye byes yesterday. From the burial ceremony, she picked up a few lessons that she thought were wise to share with her morning conversation babes.
"Leo at si msomo (Today it's not really a lecture) per se, it's actually a question, something I was really challenged by yesterday as we were saying bye-bye to our babu, we used to call him big daddy." She commenced.
"One of the things that stood out for me was the impact he had on so many people's lives.
There were so many people I met there, I saw there, tributes and whatnot, and I was like, Wooow!
He really did live the fullest life possible." Kamene expressed.
"My question to you baby girl is what's your impact going to be?
Have you figured out what your impact is going to be and who it's going to be on?
Or are you just living, ama ni tuone mahali itatupeleka (or it's let's see where life will lead us?)" She said as she urged the babes to reevaluate their lives, in the long-haul perspective.
"I want you to reevaluate your life and think about it not just in terms of today and tomorrow, but where is it going to be in 40 years.
Take it even a step further, when it's all said and done because we all have to call it a day on this earth.
What will your impact be? What will people be saying about you at the end of the day?
When you walk into a room and live, what impression are you leaving?" the presenter posed.
Kamene also disclosed she was on a journey to figure out what her impact will be as she said,
"I am still trying to figure out what my impact is, but impacting people I definitely will, maybe through my job, how I can help someone.
When we call it donedizo, what will your impact and impression be?" She wrapped it up on a high.
