Dancer cum entrepreneur David Moya has apologized to his fans after some conmen used his name to exploit his clients.

Like any other business, the viral dancer gets a lot of business online; his place of contact with fans and potential customers.

Recently a group of women were conned of ksh40,000 after they reached out to 'him' on Facebook.

The women from the Kilimani Facebook group raised their concern after the imposter, 'David Kamau' went missing despite the agreement they had in place.

The imposter had promised the services of David (who has become the go to guy for surprise celebrations) only for him not to show up.

David's scheme is so lethal that he has allegedly made over Ksh. 500,000 from the scam.

In the post, the CEO of Moya City Spur stressed that his clients should always insist on a video call before proceeding with the payments.

"It has come to my attention!! that some of my clients are being swindled using my name. There is someone bearing the same name with me "David Kamau" who has been conning people," he said.

"And so many other cons out there. Receive my apologies to those that have been conned.  Allow me to clarify that I only accept bookings from the contacts on my official pages except on Facebook. I don't operate from Facebook!!" Moya stressed.

"There are so many Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, & TikTok accounts bearing my name that I don't operate. Kindly all bookings are done through this contact 0741185107 or 0710258948I also request clients to do a video call with me for confirmation that it's me before proceeding with payments," the dancer noted.

"I also want to assure you that My team and I have already gathered enough evidence from the affected people, and I have taken the right measures to deal with the issue," he assured his followers as he wrapped it up.
