Comedian Eric Omondi seems to have taken matters into his hand when it comes to foreign musicians performing in Kenya.

On Wednesday, WCB signee Zuchu updated her Kenyan fans that she will be performing in Nairobi for the first time and this has elicited mixed reactions.

“Nairobi!! Nairobi!! I’m thrilled to announce my first-ever show in Nairobi Ngong Racecourse waterfront @ngongracecourse on 10th December. Get your tickets early now,” Zuchu said.

Following the announcement, Omondi put up a post, setting rules for Zuchu before she even lands in Kenya.

According to the funnyman, 5 local artistes will have to perform at the concert adding that the singer will have to be a 50% deposit before the event to avoid embarrassment.

“Following our Conversation with organizers we agreed on the following.

“Zuchu to be paid 50% for Nairobi and 50% for Eldoret (This has been done👍) “5 Kenyan Artists to Headline the Concerts in Nairobi and Eldoret. (This will be done before the end of tomorrow),”

He also mentioned that he will be hosting part of the concert to make sure everything goes as planned.

“I will host and be part of the Concerts to ensure all goes as planned and agreed,” he added.

Zuchu first performed in Kenya in December 2021 and she was accorded a warm reception. The show was in Kenya's coastal town, Malindi.

The WCB signee performed before a charged audience who had filled the Buntwani Waterfront Park to see her.

She confirmed that the reception she received from her fans in Kenya had been unbelievable for her.

She added that she was forced to confirm with her manager whether there was another act scheduled for the night, only to be told that she was it.

"Yesterday was more than a show to me, I kept asking if there were any other artists, and my manager kept telling me 'Zuchu, msanii ni wewe pekee (You are the only artist today)'

"God I'm grateful 😇 thank you to every one of you. Nawapenda sana, Kenya is my home. I love y'all so much," she posted.

Zuchu has also been picked as one of the performers at the Gala of the 2022 AFRIMMA Awards in the United States.
