KBC news anchor Catherine Kasavuli is admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital and is appealing for urgent blood donation. 

Reports reaching our entertainment desk indicate that the KBC news anchor is admitted to the private wing of the facility.

Kileleshwa MCA, Robert Alai through his social media platforms appealed to Kenyans to donate blood to the celebrated media journalist. 

Robert Alai urged Kenyans who can reach Kenyatta National Hospital's private wing to rush there to donate blood. 

"She urgently needs blood donation. Kindly rush to KNH private wing and donate blood to Catherine Kasavuli. Any blood group would do," he wrote.

Another message circulating on various WhatsApp groups read;

"Dear friends, colleagues, and well-wishers. Our dear colleague Catherine Kasavuli is hospitalized at the KNH Private Wing. For those who can, she needs a blood transfusion urgently. Your prayers and moral support will be very welcome."

Catherine Kasavuli is one of the pioneer TV Journalists who is celebrated across the country for her contribution to the Media Industry. 

She was recently hired by the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation to serve as one of their news anchors in their latest recruitment aimed at revamping the media house.

Catherine has taken a four months break and returned to her Instagram in October.

She had announced that she was working on her foundation and was also planning to open a YouTube channel.

"Hello family; it's me, yay I'm back. I decided to take a 4 months break from social media, well ... I felt I really needed to - sometimes you need to, it's fulfilling. Special thanks to all the amazing people who reached out and showed concern - means a lot. Can't wait to share with y'all the strides we've made with the foundation, our website is up we will be launching it officially next month," she wrote.

Kenyans are wishing her a quick recovery.
