Media Personality Ciku Muiruri has come out to defend President William Ruto's daughter Charlene Ruto over attacks from Kenyans on Twitter (KOT).

In a statement released via her socials, Muiruri castigated those throwing insults at Charlene saying they should be ashamed of themselves.

The former Radio argued that Charlene has been going around the country- leading a tree-planting exercise and inspiring school-going girls.

โ€œCharleen Ruto is spearheading tree planting efforts across Kenya & educating future leaders (school kids) on the importance of mitigating Climate Change. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ For her trouble, she's getting dragged on social media and being called 'Quickmart Ivanka' ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™„

โ€œRumble young girl, Rumble,โ€ Ciku Muiruri wrote.

The statement comes at a time when KOT had made Charlene Ruto attending topic on Twitter.

Others went to an extent of giving her the nickname 'Quickmart Ivanka' - something that has angered a section of Kenyans.

In the recent past, Charlene has been actively moving from one county to the other, meeting county officials and the youth.

However, Kenyans on Twitter have raised concerns as to why she has been visiting different county assemblies, having a meeting with governors, and running different initiatives at the same time.

After visiting Narok County she wrote;

โ€œWith the blessings of our leaders, we as youth can go far in achieving our agenda. My gratitude goes to the leadership of Narok County spearheaded by Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu

@OleNtutuK  & Speaker Davis Solian Dikirr in holding my hand in understanding the dynamics of our youth.

Netizens have since compared her to former US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump.

When her father was elected into office, Ivanka accompanied him as an unofficial adviser.

Trump later appointed Ivanka to an official government role.
