Sauti Sol's Bien seems to be among a lot of people taking Trevor Noah's exit from the Daily Show a little bit too hard.

Bien who is currently on tour in Australia took to his Instagram page to reveal how disappointed he was with Trevor's exit.

The Sauti Sol lead vocalist highlighted that one of his career goals had been to have a seat down with the South African comedian.

"I am so sad that Trevor Noah is leaving the Daily Show before having me on there as a guest..." the first part of Bien's post read.

He followed it up by adding, "I thought we would make a great interview." Before adding a laughing emoji at the end.

After 7 years of hosting the late-night US comedy show, Trevor hung his hat yesterday evening as he hosted his last show.

In an emotional farewell, the 38-year-old gave a monologue of what he termed a "shout out to black women".

"Who do you think teaches me? Who do you think has shaped me, nourished me, and informed me? From my mum, my gran, my aunt - all the black women in my life," he told the audience.

Noah was relatively unknown in the US when he took over the prestigious satirical programme from Jon Stewart, who had built up a huge following.

He referenced the fact that he first found it hard to fill the seats in the studio but over the last couple of years, Noah himself has brought in a younger more enthusiastic audience.

Trevor also offered a more international take on events in the US.

The comedian highlighted that it was black women who had taught him most about America as they know that if things go bad then they are the first to suffer.

When he announced his planned departure in September Trevor said: "I remember when we first started... so many people didn't believe in us... [Appointing me as host] was a crazy bet to make. I still think it was a crazy choice, this random African.

"I just [find] myself filled with gratitude for the journey. It's been absolutely amazing. It's something that I never expected."
