The Megan vs Tory Lanez case keeps on getting more wild.

After two years it is finally open in court with both sides presenting their arguments but it seems "Body" hitmaker Megan Thee Stallion has hit a snag.

This is after her former bodyguard who had been subpoenaed to testify in the Tory Lanez trial did not appear in court.

And now Megan’s attorney claims he is missing, although there has not been an official missing person report according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The bodyguard in question Mr. Justin Edison was expected to provide key testimony to allegedly prove that the 30-year-old rapper indeed shot and injured Megan Ruth Pete in the summer of 2020 in Los Angeles.

“We recently learned that Justin Edison went missing right before he was scheduled to appear in court. The LAPD is currently looking into his disappearance and welcomes any information about his whereabouts.” Megan's attorney Alex Spiro said in a statement following Justin's failure to show up in court.

Edison is the person that Megan’s former BFF Kelsey Harris (who was in the car with the two artists on a fateful night) allegedly texted following the shooting stating that “Help, Tory shot Meg. 911.”

A day after the shooting, Edison went to Lanez's home to pick up Megan's belongings, Deputy District Attorney Alexander Bott said during opening statements on Monday.

Bott also added that Edison told prosecutors that Lanez' confessed to being "too drunk" and shooting in the air and at the ground the night of the incident.

Edison's last post on Instagram is dated December 2. Besides working as a bodyguard, he is a certified physical trainer, according to his page.

Megan sued Tory for allegedly firing and shooting her on her feet back in 2020.

The two (who were dating back then) are said to have gotten into a fiery argument while leaving Kylie Jenner's party that was held in the Hollywood Hills on 12 July 2020.

Prosecutors claimed that Tory fired 5 shots that evening striking Megan in both feet. Tory also tested positive for gun residue.

The 30-year-old artist, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is currently facing several charges including assault with a semi-automatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

On Dec. 5, prosecutors filed a third charge for discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

If convicted, he could face 22 years in prison.

However, he has pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
