Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has revealed that Kabianga High was the most preferred school during the 2022 Form 1 placement.

Kabianga High which is a national school in Kericho had 153,074 against the available population of 768 slots.

In 2022, Nanyuki High was the most preferred school, receiving more than 188,000 applications.

This year, Nanyuki received 148,827 against 576 slots.

"Nyandarua High school received 137,511 applications against a capacity of 240 slots," Machogu said.

Other schools in that category are Pangani Girls (119,265), Maseno School (105,504), and Alliance Girls (104,763).

More schools include Nakuru High(103,909), Kapsabet Boys (99,542), Mangu High(98,146) and Butere Girls(95,550.)

Machogu asked parents to send the candidates' index number to 22263 to know which school their children have been placed in.

The SMS platform is available for all mobile networks and will be charged Sh25 each.

The candidates can also check on the Ministry of Education website for the Form 1 selection details.

A total of 1,244,188 candidates were registered for KCPE across 493 examination storage and distribution centres.

Machogu released the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education results on December 21, 2022.
