Singer Esther Akoth aka Akothee has come to the rescue of a top KCPE student who wanted to commit suicide due to lack of school fees.

In an update shared with Kiss FM, Madam Boss through her Foundation paid school fees for one Liz Naomi Ochieng who was yet to join form one.

The Abebo hitmaker noted that her foundation had cleared Ochieng’s school fees for the whole year and will be delivering Rosy sanitary towels to the school every month.

Akothee also informed that the principal of Ambassador Pamela Mboya Girls High School Madam Margaret Temesi had bought a school Uniform and did some shopping for the young girl after learning about her plea on Facebook.

The young Liz Naomi Ochieng sat for her KCPE at Lwanda Konyuna primary school in Central Kanyamkago ward Uriri Sub-county and scored 356 marks.

She received a Form 1 admission letter from Ambassador Pamela Mboya High school. Unfortunately, Lizzy had not joined Form1 because her parents were unable to enroll her to school

On Tuesday, February 6th, Lizzy attempted to take her life by committing suicide when she saw her fellow pupils carrying boxes going to begin their new life in form 1.

She was rescued from the act and well-wishers like Akothe have now come to her rescue to ensure that she completes her tertiary education.

Lizy’s story went viral after a section of social media users highlighted her case, appealing to well-wishers to come to help.
