Jose Chameleone apologizes after backlash for kissing his brother on stage

Veteran Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone has been forced to eat a humble pie and apologize to fellow Ugandans after kissing his brother Weasel on stage during his recent concert.

In a video, the Jamila hitmaker owned up to his mistakes – asking for forgiveness from fans that were offended by his actions.

 The singer went on to confess that he regrets the act and would like sincerely apologize for his and Weasel’s actions.

Chameleone pointed out that they were carried away by the heat of the moment and out of excitement they ended up kissing on stage.

“My name is Joseph Chameleone Mayanja. First and foremost I want to thank you –my fans, friends, and the whole country who came out in large numbers to support my concert Gwanga Mujje.

I also wish to use this opportunity to apologize to my fans and friends for the kiss me and Weasel shared on stage.

I know most of my friends are offended and didn’t carry it lightly and I sincerely apologize. It was just too much energy and excitement and I actually regret it. The energy was too high…and I also apologize on his behalf. Thank you so much for accepting my apologies,” Jose Chameleone said.

He also thanked the National Vice Chairman of NRM Eastern Mr. Mukula for his guidance.

“My sincere apologies to the general public” I thank you @Mukulaa for your advice and patronage - For God and my country,” he wrote.

The apology comes after the act of Jose kissing his biological brother on the lips attracted a fierce backlash from the general public.

This was the second time the two brothers were sharing a passionate kiss in public.
