Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko is celebrating his birthday today.
Sonko's last-born daughter Sandra Mbuvi showered her dad with love in a sweet birthday wish on her Instagram page.
She praised him for his strength, guidance, and unwavering support throughout her life adding that she is lucky to have had him as her dad.
"Daddy, you've given me so many invaluable things in life and I will always be grateful for them. May your special day bring you plenty of wonderful surprises! I am lucky that I was given the best father in the world, a father who truly loves me with all of his heart. Happy Birthday, dad!❤️❤️🔥💫."
His wife Primrose Mbuvi also prayed that God would grant her husband a good year ahead.
"Happy Birthday Hubby 💘❤️ (Sonkore) I pray that God grants you happiness beyond measure on your special day!🙏🎂"
Sonko's children have always appreciated the impact he has had in their lives.
A few months ago, Sandra slammed naysayers who assume she gets money from her dad and never works.
In an interview, Sandra said she works and gets her own money and sometimes she does not need her dad’s input.
“I could be modelling for a brand and someone comes to my DM and be like you are boasting and your dad has done this and that and I’m like now what does this have to do with me?” she posed.
She also hinted that at one point in her life, she might throw herself into the pool of politics.
Sandra shared a picture with her father and said that she follows in her father's footsteps very closely and that she wants to be like him in everything - a sign that she might try politics too.
The daughter who said the other day that she has never been a passenger in a public transport car in her entire life said that she is trying her best to do everything as her father has been doing.
"In all the things I try to do, I want to do them just like you, I’m watching every move you make, and I’m trying to take each step you take," Sandra wrote her dad.
The beauty added that her confidence increases mightily when she is by her father's side.
