Nicki Minaj gives major props to Ice Spice

The trailblazing rapper is currently featured on the new cover of "Dazed" magazine

The Queen of Rap herself, the baddest Nicki Minaj just acknowledged fast rising Bronx rapper Ice Spice as a rap princess!

Nicki who was recently crowned as the best female rapper alive by Billboard and Vibe Magazine, as she made it to their top 10 best rappers (both alive or dead) category gave the 23-year-old Ice Spice her flowers by recognizing her amazing work in the industry through a Twitter and Instagram post.

Referencing and validating the article's "People's Princess" title which was the headline of Ice Spice’s newly launched Dazed cover, Nicki shared a photo of the cover and wrote, “Gag. The People’s PRINCESS 👑. catch it!!!” on her official Instagram and Twitter accounts all while urging people to get the issue from newsstands.

 

An elated Ice Spice retweeted Nicki’s praise captioning it, “Ya heard da Queen.”

The trailblazing rapper is currently featured on the new cover of "Dazed" magazine, where she discussed being a Barb, and having a birthday on New Year's Day among many other things.

Literally a day before the praises from Nicki, the “Munch” rapper retweeted an old post that she had shared back in 2020  where she went over the moon practicing her reaction for the moment when Nicki follows her on her Twitter page.

 

And now her dream just came true, the queen of rap follows Ice Spice on Twitter.

Manifestation works guys.

The social media posts weren't the only form of praise or acknowledgment that Nicki heaped on Spice. The new mom went ahead to also comment on Ice Spice's most recent Instagram post, in which the 23-year-old rapper had shared pictures of herself at Rolling Loud.

"Btchs slow so I gih dem a pass. Nah. Grah! No more passes Princess... Let's go," the "Moment 4 Life" hit-maker wrote, referencing lyrics from Ice Spice's song "Princess Diana."

Their recent interaction has sent the internet into overdrive with fans speculating that Spice and Nicki may be working together very soon, if they haven’t already started.

Others went as wild as highlighting that Spice might get signed into Nicki's new record label.

Ice Spice has made no secret of her admiration for Nicki Minaj.

In an interview with XXL in January, she said: "When I saw Nicki, I was so mesmerized. She's the first female rapper that I seen. And ever since then, I was kinda set on what I wanted to be."

In a separate interview with ELLE in February, she named Nicki's 2014 project "The Pinkprint" as one of her favourite albums.

And just recently in her set at Rolling Loud, Ice Spice gave Nicki her flowers as she highlighted the importance of Nicki’s reign in the rap game.

“I’m standing on the same stage Lil Wayne and my idol Nicki Minaj were less than 24 hours ago. My life is insane,” she told fans.

Ice Spice has steadily risen in the rap game since Drake praised the artist for her breakout hit, “Munch (Feelin’ U).” She dropped her first EP, Like..?, in January and is expected to release another project before the year’s end.
