Seasoned media personality Ian Wafula has graduated from Cardiff University in the UK with a master's in International Journalism.

An excited Wafula shared the good news with his over 24K followers on Instagram- attracting positive vibrations from fellow journalists and fans.

“We did it! Just bagged my MA in International Journalism from @cardiffuni! Thanks so much @cheveningfcdo for believing in me. And to my lovely family ❤️ 🥂,” Ian Wafula shared.

 

Wafula currently works as a global freelance journalist for CNN, BBC News, VOA Africa, and BBC Africa.

The journalist took a break from media in July 2021 after being selected for the UK’s prestigious Chevening Scholarship.

At that particular. Wafula was working for BBC as a full-time employee.

Chevening Scholarships offer full financial support for one year to candidates applying for a Master's degree at any UK university- covering nearly 12,000 courses from more than 150 universities. Nationally, 45 scholars (25 men and 20 women) have been chosen for the Masters' scholarships for the year 2020/2021.

For one to be eligible for the Chevening scholarship, one must be a citizen of a fellowship-eligible country and demonstrate the potential to rise to a position of leadership and influence.
