Top DJ Steve B passes away due to Kidney failure & high blood pressure

Top Tanzanian Disc Jockey and radio Host DJ Steve B has passed away.

The legendary DJ Passed away on Monday at a hospital in Dar es Salaam due to high blood pressure and kidney failure.

He previously y worked for Clouds FM- a renowned radio station owned by Joseph Kusaga, a media mogul in Tanzania.

The death for confirmed by Amstrong Mdoe who is a brother to the deceased.

"Steve B alipoteza fahamu kwa siku 3 ambapo jioni ya leo saa 10 akafariki, alikuwa na tatizo la figo kwa miaka minne tangu 2019 lakini figo sio chanzo cha kifo chake, taratibu za mazishi bado tunazungumza tupange utaratibu lakini tunapokea rambirambi kwa namba 0678689383"

"Steve hakuwa na Mke wala hajaacha Mke na wala Mtoto, hatuna taarifa za Mtoto wake" Amstrong Mdoe said.

At the same time, Kenyans are mourning the sudden demise of Dubai-based Kenyan DJ Babu who perished in a road accident.

The DJ who was well known for supporting and organizing shows for Kenyan artistes is said to have passed on following a grisly road accident.

Babu passed away just days after hosting rapper Khaligraph Jones in Dubai together with his team.

Before his untimely death, Babu had worked with the likes of Singer Iyanni, DJ Juan, MC Teargas, Ssaru, MC Gogo, DJ Daffy, Singer Masauti, Khaligraph Jones, MC Guru, Mejja, Nyashinski, Sauti Sol among others.

In March 2021, DJ Babu was again involved in another accident while in the company of music promoter Kaka dc, while in Washington DC

Dj Babu began his deejaying career in late 2008 and continued till his passing in a car accident in July 2023.

He was also the founder and CEO of Jamdown Dubai since 2013.

His death deals a blow to the music and entertainment sectors globally as well as in Kenya and Dubai.
