Nigerian singer David Adeleke aka Davido has joined fellow Nigerian in mourning the sudden death of fellow singer Wizkid’s mother.
Taking to his Twitter, Davido sympathized with Wizkid during this difficult period of losing a loved one.
“Praying for you my brother @wizkidayo Sadness flies away on the wings of time. ❤️,” read Davido’s message to Wizkid.
On Friday night, news went out that award-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid had lost his mother, Jane Balogun.
Balogun’s death was confirmed by the artiste’s manager, Sunday Aare, who said Wizkid’s mother died in the early hours of Friday at 1.30 am.
The late Mrs. Balogun was a strong supporter of her son's flourishing music career.
Meanwhile, the singer's fans have begun sharing sincere tributes online.
However, despite the confirmation from the manager, Wizkid and his baby mama Jada who also doubles up as his second manager are yet to issue a statement on the same.
