Award-winning South African guitarist Jonathan Butler landed in Nairobi, Kenya last night ahead of his much-anticipated performance at the Nairobi International Jazz Festival organized by Radio Events and sponsored by Safaricom and DonJulio.  

At JKIA, he was received by the Radio Africa Events team and their other partners.

“I just landed in Nairobi, and I will be here from Thursday to Saturday which is the day of the concert at the Bomas of Kenya. Please come and check us out because I’m looking forward to seeing you. This is my third visit and thank you guys for inviting me to come back. See you on Saturday, at the Bomas of Kenya,” Jonathan Butler said upon arrival at JKIA.

 

Butler is expected to stage an electrifying performance at the Bomas Auditorium on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

Tickets for the Jazz Festival are going for Sh4500 (Advance), Sh6,500 at the Gate, and Sh8,000 for Couples. You can buy your Tickets HERE.

Butler will be sharing the stage with Beathogs Band, Jacob Asiyo & Friends, and Hornsphere.

 

The star is a hugely popular performer known for his crossover blend of R&B, pop, jazz fusion, and worship music.

 He was born and raised in Athlone, Cape Town in South Africa on the 10th of October 1961. Butler is also a Grammy-nominated artiste with several songs in the Top Ten of the Jazz charts and No. 1 songs on various genre charts.

The Nairobi International Jazz Festival is taking the initiative to honor and celebrate cancer as October is a month of breast cancer awareness. 15% of all ticket sales will go to the Twa Trust.

This will help support the work they do creating cancer awareness and helping to save thousands of lives through early diagnosis and treatment.

According to Radio Africa Events, 15% of all ticket sales will go to the Twa Trust which provides emotional, physical, and financial support to people diagnosed with cancer.
