Patrick Dempsey has been voted People magazine's "sexiest man alive" for 2023.
The 57-year-old Grey's Anatomy star actor replaces last year's titleholder, Marvel's Captain America star, Chris Evans.
Dempsey is married to makeup artist and beauty line founder Jillian Fink, with whom he has three children, Talula, 21, and 16-year-old twins Sullivan and Darby.
Other "sexiest man alive" recipients include

- Braveheart's Mel Gibson - who was the magazine's first recipient in 1985.
Dempsey was revealed to be the new Sexiest Man Alive on Tuesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” after audience members asked Dempsey, whose voice and face were concealed, questions to help narrow down his identity.
He was shocked by the revelation.
“And then I started laughing, like, this is a joke, right? I’ve always been the bridesmaid! I’d completely forgotten about it and never even contemplated being in this position. So my ego is good.
I’m just happy they made a decision and that it was me this year,” Dempsey told Kimmel.
He further added that his family doesn't believe he won that title.
"They're just going to make fun of me and pick on me and figure out every reason why I shouldn't be [the sexiest man alive], which is good, they keep me young.
They laughed, quite hard. They’re like, ‘No, seriously, who is it?" he added
