Kiss FM presenters Chito and Kwambox had an interesting conversation about the evolution of Sheng, especially in Nairobi.
The two kicked off the conversation arguing that the different names given to money don’t sound good.
“If we open our lines and ask people what does Mukuchu means, you will hear different things here,” Chito said.
However, Kwambox argued that Mukuchu actually sounds good, and when she hears the word she just sees the money.
“We have decided to give money a cool name and when I hear Mukuchu. I just see a lot of money,” Kwambox said.
Over time, the Sheng language had evolved in Kenya, with different hoods in Nairobi trying to be pioneers of the language.
