Kenyan power couple David Mathenge aka Nameless and his Wife Wahu Kagwi are celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary.
The couople used their socials to share cute moments captured from a dinner date organized to celebrate the new milestone.
In his message, Nameless described his wife Wahu as his best friend and partner for life.
He mentioned that he is greatful for the years they have been together as a couple.
Today we celebrate 19 years since we said “I DO” ! To my best friend, my love, and my partner for life! May we keep growing and learning together! Happy anniversary Babe! Love you always & forever❤️❤️!
“Here’s to many more! And to our online fam, thank you for always showing us love and being part of our journey! 🙏🏿🙏🏿,” read a message from Nameless.
The music power couple first met in 1998 at a campus event held at the Grand Regency. Nameless, who loved to rap, was tipped off about the event by a friend and decided to perform, leading to their first encounter.
In the past, Wahu has advised young women to date men their age and not older, wealthier sponsors. She shared this message:
"Dear young woman: Stick with the young man who may not be rich, but truly loves you. Don’t leave him for the older and seemingly more stable guy just because he’s young and not yet ‘there’ financially.
You cannot put a price tag on the value of true love. Dear young man, value your girl. Treat her well. She may be the one who will propel you into your purpose.
Be the guy who isn’t intimidated by her big dreams. Be proud of her accomplishments and boast of her achievements. Besides, she may become the mother of your daughters.
How amazing would it be to say to your 10-year-old girl, ‘See your mother fly? It means you can fly too, my princess.’
Dear young couple, support each other’s ambitions and dreams. Be each other’s cheerleader in this journey of life. Uphold, don’t tear down. Encourage, don’t crush. And you’ll be surprised just how far you’ll go. God bless."
The couple has three children: Tumiso, Nyakio, and Shiru Mathenge.
